We dressed up today as Empire State Building, King Kong, and the Chrysler Building in order to take home an honorary prize from one of Calder’s friends in the building, an actual prize from Karin’s colleagues and to wish you Happy Halloween from New York.
Calder is quickly transforming from a cute little baby to a cute danger mouse. With mobility he as acquired a taste for danger and trouble. You can see it in his eyes.
Karin and I brought Calder to LA to be with grandma, Tai-paw and Aunties Bubs and Trish, and eloped to New Zealand for 10 days or so. Here are some pictures from the trip.
Much to our disbelief, Calder turned one today. Yesterday, which we learned was Alexander Calder’s 131st birthday, we celebrated by inviting a gaggle of our neighbor kids for pizza and cupcakes.

This evening, we made a some family pictures up on the roof of our building in the good light. Ah, the salad days in New York.

One of our neighbors in our building threw a birthday party for Marley. Calder (in orange hat) loved the grass, music and the “parachute.”

To avoid jet-lag and inspire jet-set, Calder remained on NY time: getting up at 10:30am and going to bed at 1:30am. Here seen at the Big Ben, the Thames, the Tate, and for some late night drinks at Exmouth Market (around Angel).
